I’ve been buidling and maintaining blogs for a while, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, its well known that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the wordpress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
Finally I realized I should have my own blogs, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, of course this is not a new idea, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you don’t like garbage on your blogs, to write interesting content is always time consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, let’s examine this one, Tie Down Deals , it has a nice name, and it has a lot of interesting posts, since this is not a themed blog, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Check this one out, Tire Chain , this one has main theme, all topics are about same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. there are more sites like these out there, but the basics are all the same. One more important point, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, do some casual postings randomly, take one blog as example, our best friends , this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, add more blogs when you can, use the old ones to promote the new ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. It sounds pretty simple, but to build a successful network will be much more complicated, do remember don’t do any spamming tricks for your sites, if you get dropped off there is no come back.
